Limavady vs UUCRFC

On Saturday 17th September UUCRFC came up against rivals Limavady. After playing Limavady three times last season both sides became well acquainted with each other, with Limavady getting the better of UUC on all three occasions. UUC were looking to bounce back after a defeat by in town rivals Coleraine town, Limavady looking to do the same after a defeat by Academy.

The University team had a strong start to the first half but after relentless press Limavady broke UUC’s defence, this became the theme of the first half with Limavady running in numerous unanswered tries.

The second half showed signs of improvement by the university team, but the first half score was too much for UUC to overcome. The uni boys scored a try after second row Dan Morgan broke the line and put in Ollie Doherty to score his first try of the session, with Tom Kavanagh missing the conversion after.
