Exiles 2019

It’s that time of the year again, the clocks have went forward, the days are getting longer and UUC RFC Exiles weekend is almost upon us.

After last year’s grandeur Exiles Weekend returns to its regular format. The Annual event will take place on the weekend of 3 – 5  MAY.  The weekend, as usual, will start on Friday afternoon at the Riverside course, Portstewart Golf Club with the Exiles Golf Classic. The tee is booked between 2.30 – 3-20.  Contact aw.mccully@ulster.ac.uk to enter (£20 for non-members, £5 for members). Please let us know if you intend to play.

The Order of play on Saturday will see the University 2nd XV play the Exiles, kicking off at 1. 15pm (meet 12.00 noon). Anyone who has not yet been contacted and wishes to play should get in touch with Ricky Boyd (uucrfc@yahoo.co.uk).

The 1st XV will kick off against the Presidents XV at 2.45 pm. The President’s XV will be organised by Brett Campbell rugbybrett@hotmail.co.uk

In addition to the above games it is also hoped that there will be a sevens game between the current women’s section and exiles. As with last year this will be followed by a mixed tag game at 2.15pm.

Immediately after the games we invite all back to the Students Union Bar for refreshments (extra GUINNESS has been ordered) and food. We hope that you will join us.

A suggested donation of £5 will be lifted at the Pavilion to cover costs on the day.

See you there!!

Yours in rugby,

Alan, Brett and the 2018/19 Club Committee.
