With Ulster and Leinster both having won their opening two games, Saturday’s game will serve as a series decider.
Head Coach Richard Boyd has made just one change to the team that defeated Connacht at Ards RFC last weekend.
Captain Andrew McKeen is unavailable so Coleraine’s Steven Dickey comes into the side at blindside flanker, while centre Callum Irvine will take on the role of captain.

On Saturday 5th May the Club came together for their annual Exiles rugby. Afterwards the current students and players were joined in the Diamond Hall by past members of the club spanning over the 5 decades the club has been running.
With over 240 attending the dinner it was a good opportunity for old to mix with new and old to catch up with old friends and relive the times of days gone by.
The club would like to express thanks to all those who attended and we hope you enjoyed the evening catching up with old friends.

Friday Golf 2.30pm Tee Off. If you aren’t playing come a long and caddy or use words of encouragement.
After the golf we are convening at The Anchor Complex Portstewart for the catch up, evening meals and banter.
Saturday – Players arrive for 12noon.
First Game Kicks off 1pm Sharp for the UUC 2s Vs Exiles Dream Team.
Mixed Tag 1.30pm.
UUC 1s vs Exiles President Select XV kicks off 2.30pm sharp.
Cafe2U Coleraine will be pitch side for Coffees, soft drinks and sandwiches.

Saturday Evening – Gala Dinner meeting at 6.30pm at Students Union Coleraine. Down below the riverside theatre and too the left.
Seating in the Diamond Hall is at 7.30pm
9.30pm – Those who are not attending the Dinner there is an after party for everyone in the students union running on a late licence.
Sunday – For those brave enough to survive the weekend we are meeting up again in the Anchor Bar Portstewart all day for quality food drinks and company!

NUU / UUC Rugby Club 50th Anniversary Celebration
This season, 2017-18, marks the 50th season of the club. We plan to mark this achievement in several ways.
The period 5 – 12 May will see a week of events which includes a special Exiles Weekend and the hosting of the Ulster Juniors v. Leinster Juniors Interprovincial game.
Friday 4 May
Exiles / students golf competition, Portstewart, Riverside course, tee-off time provisionally 2.30 – 3.30 pm. Contact Alan directly (AW.McCully@ulster.ac.uk)
Saturday 5 May
Exiles rugby games starting at 1.00 – 1st XV v. President’s XV, 2nd XV v. Exiles 2nds, UUC Women v. Exiles plus a TAG game for those averse to contact! As of old, a beer tent will be in place during the afternoon and afterwards.
In the evening a Gala Anniversary Dinner is to be held in the University, meeting in the student bar at 7.15 for 8.00 pm.
This event welcomes all current and former players plus girlfriends, partners and wives who wish to attend (including those with Ladies Hockey connections). The cost is £35 per head. Someone has been approached to act as a catalyst to ‘round up’ as many of your era as possible. Please spread the word to others. We want to make this a night to remember!
Initially, we hope that you will be contacted by your peer rep. who will sort tables and provide us with names, numbers and emails. The club will then be in touch before 1 April for confirmation and payment. However please contact Brett (rugbybrett@hotmail.co.uk) or Alan (AW.McCully@ulster.ac.uk) if no one has been in touch.

Yesterday the guys went to Dublin to defend the Maugh-Scally Cup. The team came up against UCC Rugby Football Club in the group stage overcoming them with a 30-0 win. In an all Ulster final UUC came up against Queens University Belfast Rugby Football Club (QUBRFC). In the end, without conceding a point all day, UUC defeated Queens 14-0.

From Jordanstown to IT Sligo to Maughan-Scally IURU cup in Dublin.
